Arly Macario graduated from Suffolk University in 2018 with her B.A. in Government: Law & Public Policy and Sociology: Crime and Justice. Immediately following graduation, she worked at the English Language Center, a summer program at Boston University that serves International youth, and also served with City Year Boston under the AmeriCorps program. During her time with City Year, she worked at a K-8 elementary school in Roxbury, MA targeting whole school and individual support in English Language Arts and Mathematics, served as an after school coordinator, and was part of the Service Reserves that helped to beautify schools with painting and building projects. Finishing her year with AmeriCorps, Arly is now the College Access Coordinator at La Vida Scholars. On a daily basis she is making a huge difference with high achieving, low-income Lynn students as they create their path to college and beyond. Arly is a tremendous resource for her students!
