Steps to Renew

Discover what is necessary to renew your application including required documents and important dates.

If you did not submit a renewal application by the February 5, 2024 deadline then you will not be eligible for scholarship funding in 2024-25. The renewal application is closed.

Required files (all must clearly show your name on them):

Your 2024-25 FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) from the FAFSA website. You must file your FAFSA for this document to be made available. We require applicants to provide the full report. Refer to FAFSA Information for instructions on accessing your FSS. A sample FSS is available for you to view to be sure you have the correct document.

Your 2023-24 Financial Aid Package. We require a version that includes your name and your college name. If you are planning to transfer colleges or otherwise anticipating a large change in your financial aid offer, you should still use this document to submit by the deadline while noting the anticipated change(s) in your application.

We advise all returning scholars to submit your Renewal Application even if it appears that you are not financially eligible. Once you have submitted your application, we will work with you and keep your application on hold in case we are able to renew your scholarship.

A transcript/grade report with grades through Fall 2023 and your cumulative GPA (does not need to be an official transcript). This file needs to have two of the following three identifiers: your name, your student ID number, and your college name.

A short essay reflecting on your recent experiences in college.

Renewal applicants should be able to gather the required files and complete the application in January 2024 ahead of the February deadline. We recommend working on this before your spring semester begins.

If you do not have access to one or more of the required files by the February deadline, you should still submit your application on time. You can do this by uploading a placeholder file that explains why the required file is not available and when it will be.
