Morgan Kirby
*2023 Service Spotlight* Morgan has a long history of meaningful work with the veterans' community, having started volunteering for the Veterans Memory Project in Melrose, Massachusetts when she was in 8th grade. That first year, she raised funds to sponsor a trip for veterans to visit Washington, D.C. In her words, “getting to spend time with the veterans and hear their stories at the memorials we went to was eye-opening.” Through the Veterans Memory Project, Morgan has also conducted food drives, placed flags on veterans’ graves, and collected donations to support active-duty servicemembers. These efforts have helped to keep veterans’ memories alive and share their stories. Morgan continues to serve others in her community at college, as a senator in student government and a volunteer with the Special Olympics and Best Buddies, among many other activities.
