Nursing

Josuet Bautista

Josuet’s mother inspired him to become a nurse. In his words, “growing up, she would always remind me that my success is not defined by what I can be, but rather what I can give and do for others. My mother came to this country with nothing and managed to give me everything. The care and love my mother demonstrated to her children through her sacrifices has inspired me to do the same for children as a pediatric oncology nurse.” Josuet notes that outside of his coursework, he is learning about children’s development and unique needs through his volunteer work at an after-school program near campus. As a nurse, he will strive to advocate for his patients and provide company where it is often absent.
