Sarah Watson
*2023 Service Spotlight*
During college, Sarah was highly active in serving her community as a leader in her school’s Psychology Club and an intern in the campus Title IX Department. She created a social media series about signs of healthy relationships and helped put on an event called Cupcakes and Consent, which spread awareness about the importance of asking for and receiving consent. Sarah also planned the campus’ Take Back the Night event, featuring a vigil where sexual assault survivors share their stories, and she organized training for students interested in becoming advocates in preventing domestic violence. Between her work in the Title IX office and her studies in psychology, Sarah developed an understanding of human behavior that she hopes to tap into for a future career in helping others reach their full potential. After graduating from UNE, Sarah enrolled at the University of Southern Maine for their Master's in Counseling program with a concentration in School Counseling.
