Tianna Parnther
*2023 Service Spotlight*
Tianna has been highly active on-campus, singing in a gospel choir, playing intramural basketball, and serving on a spiritual enrichment team. Outside of school, she works as a therapeutic mentor at the Justice Resource Institute in Lynn, Mass. She directly supports clients with strategies for emotional regulation, collaborative treatment planning, and psychoeducation, among other approaches. She has found it rewarding to see her clients make progress, especially given the range of challenges they face. In her own words, “being able to journey with them in their healing and wholeness is the most breath-taking experience for me.” Tianna notes that her experience working as part of this therapy team has confirmed her interest in pursuing a career as a clinical psychologist and has broadened her perspective on the communities she would like to serve.
